The June & Bill Ankrom-Milt Emerine Scholarship Fund was established in memory of these lifelong Pickaway County residents.
Norma June Coffland Ankrom graduated from Circleville High School in 1944. She continued her education by attending Bliss Business School. Her education allowed her to successfully manage her family’s finances while also being a long-time treasurer for Calvary United Methodist Church and employed at the Pickaway County Auditor’s office.
Bill Ankrom attended Muhlenburg Township until it closed and then graduated from Monroe Township in 1946. Bill retired from GTE and the County Engineering Department. He continued to build his skills by working in the field but also by attending classes to help him stay current on technological advances for his field.
Milt graduated from Westfall High School in 1974. While working full time, married with a family, he graduated from Franklin University. Milt was passionate about being a CPA and FPA and stayed active in the new developments in his fields by participating in continuing education courses as well as gaining new licenses that improved his abilities to help his clients.
Education and working to achieve goals were important to June, Bill, and Milt. They understood that education looked different for each person and that knowledge came from various learning opportunities. All three would be proud to know that they are continuing to help others advance their educational opportunities.
