Lou Ann Clark Supports Community Animals, Health With Legacy Gift

Lou Ann Clark

The Pickaway County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of the Lou Ann Clark Animal Welfare Fund, started thanks to a generous gift by Lou Ann Clark.

In life, Lou Ann earned a Masters in Banking from the University of Wisconsin ultimately working for Bank One for over 30 years, finally as Vice-President.

Lou Ann loved animals, including her golden retriever Shep. In addition, Lou Ann gave an estate gift to the Well Being Fund of Pickaway County to be utilized to help address human health concerns in Pickaway County.

Shep, Lou Ann’s beloved dog.

“When I visited with Lou Ann to determine where her estate would make the greatest impact for the causes she cared about, she was clear in addition to her love of animals, the mental, physical and emotional health of the community was a deep concern of hers,” Rose Vargo McFarland, Lou Ann’s attorney, wrote in a letter to PCCF.

If you would like to discuss the opportunities on how to use legacy giving to leave a lasting impact and ensure PCCF can continue to provide charitable resources and expertise that improve the quality of life in Pickaway County, contact us today.

Real Estate Gifts

You may be able to make a gift of an entire piece of property or a remainder interest in a personal residence or farm, all with tax benefits to you. Typically, the full fair market value of your property is deductible as a charitable contribution but talk to your financial advisor for guidance. PCCF has experience in real estate gifts and can assist in a process that makes it beneficial to all involved.
