The Pickaway County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the issuance of a grant in the amount of $1,000 in memory of former Westfall teacher and Pickaway County Community Foundation Board member, Emily Nelson. The grant will purchase seats in memory of Emily’s service to the community in which she lived and worked. Emily had a passion for the school and the Foundation.
The initiative of the “Comfy Cushion Campaign” is designed to put new seats in the auditorium with the overlying goal of bringing the facility back to an acceptable condition that would allow it to more adequately serve the students, staff and community. This campaign allows the auditorium to become a venue to showcase talents and offer a wide variety of educational opportunities and continues to promote the school as the focal point in the community. The “Comfy Cushion Campaign” along with additional renovations being made to the auditorium by the Westfall School Board is expected to be completed during the summer of 2017.
