The Pickaway County Community Foundation was well represented at the 2025 Pickaway County Fair.
The Pickaway County Fair Board graciously included information about the Beef Project during the opening ceremony, steer show and sale. PCCF purchased 14 steers at $2.30 per lb.
In addition to PCCF’s work on the beef project, the Pickaway County Ag Committee was at the fair during the sale helping distribute pancakes to hungry fair goers as part of the event.
Carly Neff, committee member, said, “It was a really great time and we had a great turnout.”
Committee Member Judy Clifton said, “It’s a great tradition we’ve had with the fair and the livestock sale. It’s become a real community event.”
The Inspiration Station was also active during the fair, hosting activities above the amphitheater during Kids Days on Tuesday, July 17, and Thursday, July 19.
On Tuesday, the kids spun the wheel for prizes. Both days featured the biodegradable packing peanuts that kids used to build designs and structures on paper plates all while hearing about the museum and upcoming events. Over 200 COSI science kits were given away in addition to diamond art, notebooks, foam puzzles and more. Michelle Callahan, booth volunteer, said, “We had a great turnout and a lot of really good conversations, A lot of people were aware of the museum, asked questions about our plans and were excited to hear we’re having more events this year.”
