The Pickaway County Community Foundation and the Well Being Foundation have announced their third quarter 2025 grant recipients.
The Well-Being Foundation provided a $25,000 grant to the Food Insecurity Fund as part of their partnership on the 2025 Beef Project. In addition, the Well-Being Foundation granted $3,000 to the Scioto Kids Association to put an AED, or automated external defibrillator, inside their shelter house. The Scioto Kids Association hosts baseball and softball events in Scioto Township. The WellBeing Foundation also provided $2,000 to Elizabeth Hope Pregnancy Resources who will use the grant as part of their Earn While You Learn mentorship program that provides them weekly lessons on childcare to increase their confidence and abilities. The money they provide to the parents who complete each week are used on resources they need for their child such as diapers, cribs, car seats or other childcare essentials.
PCCF granted $6,000 to Lifecare Alliance for three scholarships to be awarded to Pickaway County students for entrance into Camp Hamwi. Camp Hamwi is a weeklong comprehensive camp for kids with diabetes. The 2026 grant deadline and presentation date will be posted soon.
