Each year, the PCCF Scholarship Committees interview students from across the county who exemplify leadership, scholarship, and community service.
This year’s recipients are Allison Copeland, Reece Moehl, Anay Sierra, Bryce Wickline, and Jaylyn Wippel.
“Our committees always have a hard time choosing each recipient because there are so many incredible students who apply each year,” said Alexis Conrad, PCCF Executive Director. “The five students chosen all interviewed well, were among the most accomplished in their class, and we can’t wait to see where their bright futures take them.”
- Allison Copeland is a Westfall High School graduate who was awarded two scholarships: the Alvarez Family Scholarship and the Mona and Scott Allen Scholarship. Ms. Copeland is attending Grace College and Theological Seminary and plans to become a bilingual therapist after graduation. She also intends to work with educational projects internationally on the mission field, providing counseling services.
- Reece Moehl, also a Westfall High School graduate, received the Bill & June Ankrom and Milt Emerine Scholarship. She is attending Purdue University this fall, majoring in horticulture. After graduation, she plans to work for an agricultural-based business.
- Anay Sierra is a Westfall High School graduate who received a Joshua Green Memorial Scholarship. She is attending Columbus State Community College and is pursuing two certificates: entrepreneurship and sport management. She plans to start a business in the beauty industry using her degree, as well as become a coach and host sports events.
- Bryce Wickline, another Westfall High School graduate, received a Joshua Green Memorial Scholarship. He is attending Marietta College, where he’s studying petroleum engineering. After graduation, he plans to move out west to pursue a career in his field before eventually returning to Ohio.
- Jaylyn Wippel is a Westfall High School graduate who received the Adam Carter Memorial Scholarship. She is attending Heidelberg University this fall, where she’s studying psychology. After completing her undergraduate degree, she plans to pursue a master’s degree and become a pediatric psychologist.
In total, these six scholarships were granted to the five students, totaling more than $9,000 towards their collective education. If you’re interested in setting up a scholarship fund, PCCF can help make that happen. Please contact us at info@yourpccf.org or by phone at (740) 477-6207.
