The Pickaway County Community Foundation (PCCF) was honored by Uptown Circleville during their ribbon-cutting and unveiling ceremony for the new clock and bench sculpture at Court and Main Street in downtown Circleville earlier this summer.
PCCF’s grant through the Community Impact Fund was one of three funding sources for the project. The project also involved students from Pickaway Ross Career & Technology Center, who constructed the bench sculpture.
Project organizer Richard Gerhardt presented PCCF with a plaque, which now hangs in their office to commemorate the project and PCCF’s involvement.
“These two structures don’t come inexpensively,” Gerhardt said during the presentation. “We sought out our local community foundation, and they were very generous to us.”
Efforts like this are made possible through donations to the Community Impact Fund and the quarterly grants available to non-profit organizations in the community.
