PCCF Agriculture Fund Makes Grant for TV FFA Member to be Washington Bound

Lauren Chafin, a member of the Teays Valley FFA Chapter was recently awarded a grant to attend the Washington Leadership Conference in July, 2018. The Washington Leadership Conference is based on four tenants: ME, WE, DO, and SERVE. Building on these four tenants, students obtain the objective of the conference which is becoming an engaged citizen who can make a measurable positive difference in their community.

Chafin indicated “After attending the conference I hope to have chapter leadership workshops with the new freshmen to help them get involved early in FFA activities and for them to have the opportunity to mingle with their fellow “aggies” and have one on one time with officers.”  This individual time will allow them a better understanding of FFA and the leadership opportunities this program can provide.

The Pickaway County Agriculture Fund led by Mark Ruff, Bennett Musselman and Tim Wilson is a fund of the Pickaway County Community Foundation. The purpose of this fund is to provide agriculture education opportunities in our county.
