The Pickaway County Community Foundation is a public charity offering individuals, families, businesses and charitable institutions a vehicle for their philanthropy.

Since our founding in 2001, awarding grants to non-profit organizations serving the county and awarding scholarships to a variety of students have been an important part of our mission.

The Pickaway County Community Foundation administers a scholarship program that each year helps local students pursue their dreams and goals at colleges, universities, and trade or technical schools after high school graduation. Scholarship Center

Scholarship funds offer hope to students and their families and increase their chance of academic and future financial success. The Foundation partners with The Columbus Foundation to administer its scholarship funds.

We encourage students looking for a scholarship to search the Columbus Foundation's online searchable database called Scholarlink.

This database makes finding the right scholarship easy for you. Simply follow the next steps, which will allow you to enter your information. With the information you provide, our database will sort through and display scholarships offered through the Foundation that match your criteria. Remember in the to enter in Pickaway County in the Location and Special Categories search function to find scholarships that serve students in our county.

Various Pickaway County Scholarship applications can be obtained in all local high schools.

We believe that one of the best ways to improve our community is by supporting nonprofits in our region. The Pickaway County Community Foundations' competitive grantmaking is supported by many thoughtful donors who have entrusted us to identify and invest in our ever-changing community needs. We make grants to all the communities in Pickaway County and to nonprofits large and small.

Grants available from the Pickaway County Community Foundation are awarded on the basis of an open and competitive application process. Guidelines, priorities for funding and standards of eligibility must be met in order to apply. Opportunities to apply depend on the availability of funding, which varies from year to year.

William Ammer Memorial Education Trust Fund

Judge William AmmerThis fund was established to benefit students graduating from high school. The fund is to provide financial assistance to one student from each of four Pickaway County school districts to attend a college or university of their choice. The donor established unique scholarship criteria.

Nelson E. Jones Scholarship Fund

Logan Elm High School in Pickaway county, OhioThis fund was established to benefit students that are graduating seniors or graduates of the Logan Elm School District who reside in Salt Creek Township. Candidate may be pursuing a degree in any area, however, preference may be given to those pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: business, agriculture, education OR an associate's degree in a vocational trade. Candidate must have a strong interest in public service.

Ohio Christian University Pickaway Scholarship

fund-ohio-christian-university-pickaway-scholarshipThis fund was established to provide assistance to enrolling students at Ohio Christian University. The successful Canidate must be an enrolled student at the Ohio Christian University with a 3.2 GPA and a resident of Pickaway County.

Lanman-Massie Scholarship Fund

Lanman-Massie Scholarship fundThis is a scholarship fund established by the Westfall Local Schools and transferred to the Westfall Education Foundation. The donor has established unique scholarship criteria.

Karen Matesky Grigg Memorial Scholarship

Karen Matesky Grigg Memorial ScholarshipThis scholarship was established for a candidate pursuing a degree in the science or medical profession, including veterinary medicine. The donor has established unique scholarship criteria.

Edwin and Patricia Taylor Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established to support to residents of Pickaway County or Fayette County, Ohio who are pursuing Agricultural Production, Dietetics, or Medical Dietetics attending The Ohio State University. Recipient needs to be a full-time student with a GPA of 2.75 or better.

Gladys Schaal Memorial Scholarship

Gladys Schaal Memorial Scholarship for a student of Hocking county, OhioTo benefit students graduating from Logan Elm or Logan High Schools who are residents of Hocking County, Ohio and plan to major in Education.

The candidate must be a graduating senior and resident of Hocking County, Ohio
