Pickaway Leadership Fellow Program

Preparing the next generation of ascribed, appointed and elected leaders for Pickaway CountyGoal: To prepare the next generation of ascribed, appointed, and elected leaders for Pickaway County.

Objective: At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to employ resources and networks for servant leadership to Pickaway County citizens, communities, institutions and businesses.

Since January 2012, three classes of Pickaway Leadership Fellows have been initiated and completed. A total of 33 people have been inducted as Leadership Fellows after completing the course of study that examined economic, social, political, geographic, historical, and emerging issues that shape our community. The Pickaway Fellows are ready and eager to fill appointed and elected leadership roles in government, business, social, religious, fraternal, and community institutions.

Celebrating three classes of Pickaway Leadership Fellows since 2012Evaluations for each session and cumulative assessment have determined how each class curriculum is constructed and enhanced. With three classes of Fellows completed, active servant leadership is indicated with various appointments and elections in the county. The following is not complete but diverse in the range of leadership activities of the members:

  • One appointment to Pickaway County Farm Bureau Board
  • Two appointed to Pickaway County Community Foundation board
  • Two appointed to Pickaway Health Services Board
  • Two appointed to Pickaway County Republican Central Committee
  • One elected Pickaway County Engineer
  • One elected township trustee/President of County Trustees and Clerks Association
  • Four appointed to Leadership for Tomorrow Fund Advisory Board
  • One appointed to Metropolitan Housing Board
  • One elected to represent Pickaway County on Ohio Public Works Commission
  • One appointed by Gov. Kasich to Retail Food Safety Advisory Council
  • One elected to leadership of Ashville Kiwanis
  • Two elected to Berger Foundation Board
  • Three elected to leadership of Sunrise Rotary.
  • One elected to Westfall School Board
  • One elected to Logan Elm School Board
  • One appointed to the United Way of Pickaway County Board
  • One appointed to Pickaway County Library Board
  • One appointed to Pickaway Community Action Board
